Geng Sen

A member of the Communist Party of China, Geng Sen serves as an adjunct facultymember specializing in Sheng at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music. He studied underAssociate Professor Tian Ye, Professor Tan Jun, and Professor Wang Lei. He is arecipient of the National Scholarship and has been honored with titles such as"Outstanding Communist Youth League Member of Hubei Province" and "ProvincialModel Party Member."


He was a finalist in the ensemble category of the "CCTV Chinese TelevisionInstrumental Music Competition" and has won numerous awards, including the FirstPrize at the "8 th National Youth Arts Exhibition,” the Outstanding Performance Award(First Place) at the inaugural "Sichuan-Shaanxi-Hubei Graduate Excellence Program,”the Grand Prize (highest honor) at the inaugural "Zhiyin Cup" TraditionalInstrumental Music Showcase, the First Prize at the 2023 "Magnolia InternationalMusic Festival,” and the Gold Award (First Place) in the A1 Category of the 2026"International Sheng and Reeds Festival - China Sheng Performance Competition."


In recent years, he has successfully presented multiple solo recitals and participated inprojects funded by the National Arts Fund, with performances in Hong Kong and atCarnegie Hall in New York. He has premiered several Sheng concertos. In 2026, hewas invited to appear in an exclusive interview on Roots of China, a programproduced by the Greater Bay Area Voice of the China Media Group (CMG).
