Liu Zheng

A member of the Chinese National Orchestra Society, Liu Zheng studied under TangFu and Yang Shoucheng before becoming a student of the renowned sheng virtuosoWen Jialiang. He is a dual gold medalist, winning both the Youth Sheng Solo andSmall Chamber Music categories at the 8 th Wenhua Award, organized by the Ministryof Culture. He also won the Gold Award in Category A1 at the 2026 InternationalSheng and Reeds Festival – Competition for Professional Sheng Performance andreceived the highest honor, the Outstanding Performance Award, at the "TalentExcellence Program" graduate skills showcase held by National MusicConservatories.

He has performed publicly in South Korea and across China, including in Xi'an,Nanjing, Ningbo, Wuxi, and Shanghai. His performance credits include the 40thShanghai International Music Festival and the Chinese National Orchestra Society’s"Traditional Music 'Art' Together" online Spring Festival Concert. During his studies,he received university scholarships on multiple occasions and was honored with titlessuch as "Outstanding Graduate of Liaoning Province" and "Outstanding UniversityGraduate."
